Laverne Elaine Cox

LaVerne Elaine Cox, 80, of Wayne Twp., Greene County, Pa. died at 5:15 p.m. Saturday, January 17, 2015 in the home of her daughter, Corla King.
She was born March 21, 1934 in Tacoma, WA., a daughter of the late Archie Ball and Violet Schaffer Thomure and had resided in the state of Washington prior to moving to Greene County in 1995.
Mrs. Cox was Catholic by faith.
She enjoyed her time with her family, painting, reading her Bible and playing the piano.
On January 29, 1950 she married Kenneth Ray Cox who died in June of 2006.
Surviving are a daughter, Corla, wife of Robert King with whom she shared a home; three sons, Kenneth A., husband of Julie Cox of Riverside, CA., Norman R. Cox of Orting, WA. and Thomas Cox of Oak Forest; ten grandchildren; five great grandchildren.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a great grandchild, Shane Wesley King; a sister, Clarice Driggs.
Mrs. Cox was the last of her immediate family.
At the request of the family all services will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
