Judith Ritchea

Judith D. Ritchea, 59, of West Alexander, R. D. #1, died at 6:18 p.m. Tuesday, March 22, 2005 in The West Penn Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa from injuries received in a fire at her home on February 18, 2005.She was born January 5, 1946 in West Finley Twp., Washington County, Pa. a daughter of the late Sherman E. "Unk" Kiger, Sr. and Sarah Margaret Gray Kiger and had resided in West Finley Twp. all of her life. Mrs. Ritchea was a member of the West Alexander United Methodist Church and a former member of the church choir. She was a 1963 graduate of McGuffey High School. Mrs. Ritchea was a licensed beautician and a former employee of Peg Armstrong Beauty Shop in Claysville and was a former bus driver with Don Swart School Buses in West Alexander. Since October 3, 1984, she has been employed as a rural mail carrier from the West Alexander Post Office and was a member of the Rural Letter Carriers Association. She enjoyed time spent with her family, grandchildren and friends as well as crocheting, sewing, quilting and baking and was involved with 4-H sewing and animal clubs.On November 7, 1970, she married George R. "Buck" Ritchea who survives. Also surviving are four daughters, Terry Lee, wife of Gary Loughman, Rosella Ann, wife of Dave Ealy, Melissa Dawn, wife of Brandon Gebhardt all of West Alexander, and Maggie Diana, wife of Andy Weisal of Wheeling, W.Va.; nine grandchildren, Danny and Kayla Loughman, Kansas and Savannah Ealy, Axel, Sidney and Drake Gebhardt, Katelyn and Cody Weisal; one brother, Sherman E. "Butch" Kiger, Jr. husband of Patricia Cox Kiger of Sutherland, NE.Memorial contributions can be made to the Ritchea Family Fire Benefit Fund in care of Community Bank, Box A, Claysville, Pa. 15323.
