Frank Tustin Custodian at Rogersville and Graysville Elementary Schools Joseph Franklin (Frank) Tustin, 89, of Center Twp. (Rutan), Greene County, Pa. died at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday, May 20, 2014 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown, W.Va. He was born August 6, 1924 in Canton Twp., Washington County, Pa. a son of the late Joseph Cephas Tustin and Fannie Barney Martin Tustin and had resided in Center Twp. most of his life. Mr. Tustin was a member of the former Rogersville Christian Church and had attended South Ten Mile Baptist Church, prior to attending Beulah Baptist Church at Nineveh, Pa. as long as his health permitted. He was a 1943 graduate of the former Center Twp. High School in Rogersville. Mr. Tustin was an avid football fan and enjoyed reading westerns. He was a former employee of Charles "Twink" Grove dairy farm, and the former Jake Strope Garage in Rogersville and also sheared sheep around Greene County for several years. Mr. Tustin was last employed as a custodian at the Rogersville and Graysville Elementary Schools for 30 years before retiring in 1989. On January 8, 1956 he married McCleese June (Cleesy) Whiteman who survives. Also surviving are two daughters, Jan, wife of Denny Teagarden of Carmichaels and Debbie Tustin at home; two sons, Charles Franklin (Tim) Tustin and Patrick Tustin, both at home; two grandchildren, Denny Teagarden, Jr. and Jason Teagarden; several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are a son, Dale Lynn Tustin who died in infancy; three sisters, Lydia Hamilton, June Kidwell and Mildred Vensic; a brother, Leo T. Tustin, who was killed in action during WW II; three half-brothers, Raymond and Russell Tustin and Alfred Martin; a half-sister, Lena Martin Knisley. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Friday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 24, 2014 with Pastor Harry Hill officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery. The family requests no flowers, but would appreciate friends sharing your photos and memories of Mr. Tustin with his family, or donations to the Beulah Baptist Church, c/o Becky Rutan, 230 Crouse Rd., Graysville, Pa. 15337.
