John H. Hull, 92, of Rogersville, Pa. died at 5:45 p.m. Thursday, August 19, 2010 in the Southwest Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health for the past two years.He was born August 19, 1918 in Center Twp. (Rutan), Greene Co. Pa. a son of the late Austin J. and Ola Headley Hull and had resided in Greene Co. all his life, a resident of Rogersville since 1967.Mr. Hull was a 52 year member of the Masonic Lodge 153 FAM in Waynesburg, a life member of the Ancient Accepted Scottish Rite Valley of Pittsburgh, and also a member of the former Elks Lodge 757 and the Moose Lodge 461 both in Waynesburg.He was a 1936 graduate of Center Twp. High School.Mr. Hull enjoyed woodworking in his younger days, building kitchen cabinets and grandfather clocks.He was a former employee of Carnegie and Columbia Gas Companies, and was last employed as a crew foreman with Texas Eastern Natural Gas Co. at the Bristoria Station 20 prior to retiring in 1980 after 33 years of service.On April 4, 1942 he married Helen Marie Roberts who died December 20, 1994.Surviving are two sons, W. Sherman, husband of Irma Hull of Accident, MD. and John G. (Shorty) Hull of Waynesburg; two daughters, Karen S. Hull of Waynesburg and Connie H. Morris, companion of Tim O'Donnell of Fawn Grove, Pa.; seven grandchildren, Clint and Jamie Morris, Brad, Brent and Jason Hull, Lauren Hull Semple and Kasey Hull; ten great grandchildren; 1 great great grandchild.Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are three brothers, Vern, Clair (Red) and Austin J. Hull, Jr.; four sisters, Gertrude Whipkey, Evon Morris, Millis and Nellie Pettit.Mr. Hull was the last of his immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to your local American Heart Association. Masonic Lodge 153 FAM of Waynesburg will conduct a memorial service in the funeral home at 7 p.m on Sunday.
