John Eddy

John W. Eddy, 60, of Franklin Twp. (Eastview), Greene Co. Pa. died unexpectedly at 10:30 p.m. Sunday, October 16, 2011 in his home.He was born December 18, 1950 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of the late Jesse Norval and Helen Jean Vancleave Eddy and had resided in the Waynesburg area most of his life prior to moving to Eastview in 2002.Mr. Eddy attended West Greene High School.He enjoyed woodworking and was an avid fisherman.Mr. Eddy was a veteran of the Viet Nam War where he served with the U.S. Marine Corps as a Lance Corporal and was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard, Co. C, 2nd Bn, 110th Infantry in Waynesburg.He was first married to Mable Virginia Roberts who died August 26, 1998.Surviving are a son, Kevin Eddy and a daughter, Felecia Lowery; a brother, Donald, husband of Donna Eddy; two sisters, Jessie Jean, wife of Glenn A. Wise, Sr. and Janet Shriver, companion of Ron Smith; three grandchildren, Paige, Nickalas and Skyler Lowery; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to his parents and first wife is a son, Chonn Eddy; two brothers, Michael and Kenneth F. Eddy.At the request of the deceased there will be no visitation or services.
