Jesse Hunnell

Jesse A. "Babe" Hunnell, 94, of Ruff Creek, Greene Co. Pa. died at 5:35 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in the Respi Center-West, Waynesburg, Pa.He was born in Rogersville, Pa. a son of Jesse Wesley and Ella Tustin Hunnell and had resided in Rogersville and Waynesburg prior to moving to Ruff Creek in 1957.Mr. Hunnell enjoyed raising cattle and sheep, hunting raccoons and the time he spent watching his grandchildren as they matured to adults.He was employed as a pipe fitter with Local 798 of the Welders Fitters Union in Tulsa, Ok. for over 45 years prior to retiring in 1978.On June 6, 1936 he married Myrtle Irene Davis who died March 2, 1998.Surviving are a son, Delmont A. (Monty), husband of Lois Hunnell of Ruff Creek; two grandsons, Matthew Jesse and Nathan Allen Hunnell; a step granddaughter, Nicole Love; a step great granddaughter, Dannika White.Deceased are two brothers, Ross (Jum) Hunnell and Hice Stewart.Mr. Hunnell was the last of his immediate family.
