He loved his one mile square of farm land where he raised 150 head of cattle, hunting, bonfires, fishing and riding his dirt bike at Powerline (Ohio) Park, he also enjoyed traveling the Caribbean, beaches of Jamaica and the Gulf of Mexico where he caught a 52 Wahoo, enjoyed the Ford brand of vehicle, and for a young man was an excellent dozer operator, and was considered by the late Sonny Finnegan to be one of the best track hoe operators for his age. Master Benson participated in the Wind Ridge Youth Baseball program and had won several grand slam batting trophies and also enjoyed playing basketball, and do to his fathers work schedule and not able to attend practices, considered sports not to be that important. More important than the sacrifices he made was the love and caring of his family. A must have for him was his Fox hoodies and shirts. Surviving in addition to his mother, is his step-father, who is the only father he has ever known, Bob Finnegan; his fianc(c), Taylor Hice; a brother, Chaz Benson, companion of Brittany Anderson of Bethlehem, W.Va.; a sister, Olivia Benson of Wind Ridge; maternal grandparents, Dallas and Becky Bever Benson of Wheeling, W.Va.; 2 nephews, Conner James Benson and Derek White; a niece, Brilee Hice; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, December 7, 2014 with Rev. James H. Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in the Jacksonville Cemetery, Wind Ridge, Pa. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the West Greene High School Vo-Ag Dept., the 4-H market steer club or a future scholarship fund to be established by his family at the high school.
