Jean Conkey Stollar

Jean C. Stollar, 89, of West Finley, Twp., Washington County, Pa. died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, November 7, 2015 in The Donnell House, Washington, Pa. following a brief illness.
She was born March 24, 1926 in West Finley Twp. a daughter of the late Floyd H. Conkey and Goldie Miller Conkey Drake and had resided in West Finley Twp. all her life.
Mrs. Stollar was a 1946 graduate of the former Claysville High School.
She was a member of the Washington and National Rural Letter Carriers Associations and a member of the former Good Intent Mothers Club.
Mrs. Stollar was an employee of the former McCann Store in Washington and was also a former milk truck driver, and was last employed as a rural letter mail carrier out of the Claysville Post Office for 27 years prior to retiring in 1996.
She enjoyed toll painting, flower arranging, sewing and camping as long as her health permitted.
On November 30, 1946 she married Harold James Stollar who died May 15, 2000.
Surviving are three daughters, Joyce, wife of Sam Mankey of Washington, Ruth J. Gashel of Claysville and Marcia, wife of Richard Guthrie of Saltsburg; a son, Ronald, husband of Mary Stollar of Buffalo Twp.; ten grandchildren, Benjamin and Bethany Stollar, Sarah Heenan, Joshua and Nick Guthrie, Amanda Gashel Dillion, Jill and Jared Gashel, and Jeremy and Jay Allen; 16 great grandchildren.
Deceased in addition to her parents are her step-father, James Drake; a half- brother and a half- sister; her grandmother, Idabelle Stewart Miller who raised her, prior to her death.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, November 11, 2015 with Rev. Linda Mankey officiating. Interment will follow in West Finley Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to The Donnell House, c/o Washington Health System Hospice Care, 155 Wilson Ave., Washington, Pa. 15301.
