Obituary for Jane Hull

Jane E. Hull, 80, of Rogersville, Pa. died Thursday, August 20, 2009 at 3:23 p.m. in the Golden Living Center in Franklin Twp. Greene Co. Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years.She was born January 5, 1929 in Rogersville a daughter of Charles Luie and Clara Aldine Knight McNeely and has been a resident of Rogersville all her life.Mrs. Hull was a member and former trustee of the Rogersville United Methodist Church.She was a 1946 graduate of Center Twp. High School, a 1949 graduate of the Maryland General Hospital School of Nursing in Baltimore, MD., and earned her BS and Masters Degrees in nursing from the former California(Pa) State College.Mrs. Hull was a former employee of the Maryland General Hospital in Baltimore and the former Greene County Memorial Hospital in Waynesburg prior to serving as the school nurse for the West Greene School District for 32 years prior to retiring in 1988 and had served as a volunteer nurse with the American Red Cross from 1949 until her retirement.She was a member of the Greene County Nurses Club and the Pa. and Greene County Chapter of the P.S.E.R.S.Mrs. Hull enjoyed quilting, reading, stitch work and crossword puzzles as long as her health permitted and the time spent with her grandsons.On June 21, 1951 she married Calvin "Denny" Irvin who died October 2, 1965 and on December 31, 1966 she married Melvin Dwayne Hull who survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Jan Elise Irvin and a son, Dr. C. Michael Irvin, husband of Dr. Paula Raugellis all of Waynesburg; two grandsons, C. Michael Irvin II and Chase Paul Irvin; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents and first husband are her twin brother, James Steven McNeely and brother Edward R. "Skeeter" McNeely.Mrs. Hull was the last of her immediate family.
