James Harold (Bud) Carroll

March 27, 1939 — March 12, 2015

James H. (Bud) Carroll, 75, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of Wind Ridge died at 1:15 p.m. Thursday, March 13, 2015 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Waynesburg, Pa. after being seriously ill for the past month.
He was born March 27, 1939 in Richhill Twp., Greene County, Pa. a son of the late James Dennis Carroll and Orpha Cleo Allum Carroll Staggers.
Mr. Carroll had resided in Greene County all his life and had been a resident at the Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation Center for the past five years.
He was an avid sports fan, his favorite teams were the Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguins, the Dallas Cowboys and professional wrestling. He also enjoyed all the out-of-doors, listening to music on his I-Pad, and visiting his friends at Rolling Meadows in his motorized wheel chair, also enjoyed picture puzzles and wild life.
Surviving are two sisters, Sarah Clutter of West Finley and Mary Lou Amos of Sycamore; a brother, Harry, husband of Marylyn Carroll of West Finley and a half-brother, Ben Staggers of Waynesburg; two step-sisters, Mary, wife of Duane Kiger of Prosperity and Carol Ann, wife of Jack Dye of Tuscaloosa, AL.; several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his parents are his step-father, Milo Mike Staggers; two sisters, Joanne Hamilton and Jean Davis; a half-brother Michael Staggers; a step-sister, Brenda Finnegan; a step-brother, Dale Staggers.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Monday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 with Pastor Lanny Hewitt officiating. Interment will follow in West Finley Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rolling Meadows Nursing Rehabilitation Center Patient Fund, 107 Curry Rd., Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
