Iona Blake

Iona Carr Blake, 91, of Cameron, W.Va. and formerly of Richhill Twp. (Ryerson), Greene Co., Pa. died at 8:32 a.m. Sunday, December 9, 2012 in Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, W.Va.She was born June 20, 1921 in Cameron, W.Va. a daughter of the late Edwin and Icy Teagarden Carr and had resided in Greene County, Pa. for several years prior to returning to the Cameron area in 2004.Mrs. Blake was a member of the Crabapple Community Church at Wind Ridge.On February 1, 1947 she married Beryl Harlan Blake who died April 16, 1997.Surviving are her children, Loretta Cunningham of Wind Ridge, Pa., Debra, wife of Donald Whitlatch of Holbrook, Nancy, wife of Danny Lemasters of Moundsville, W.Va., Donald, husband of Ruth Blake of Cameron, Gregory, husband of Rose Blake, also of Cameron, with whom she has made her home since 1997, Alfred, husband of Debbie Blake of Waynesburg, Pa., Harold, husband of Mary Blake of Bentleyville, Pa. and Richard Blake of Moundsville, W.Va.; a sister, Relda Wright of Cameron,; a brother, James Carr of Alabama; 30 grandchildren; 44 great grandchildren; several great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a daughter, Rose Marie Blake; a grandson, Shane Leroy Blake; a granddaughter, Shanna Blake; a great grandchild, Elizabeth Blake; two sisters, her twin sister Leona Carr and Mary Bumblewich; a brother, Wesley Carr.Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. Family and friends are asked to meet at the Fairview Cemetery, Richhill Twp. Greene Co. Pa. at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, December 12, 2012 where a graveside service will be conducted with Pastor Dave McCombs officiating.
