Ines(Inez) Louise Minton

July 18, 1922 — August 27, 2015

Ines Clutter Minton, 93, of McRae, Ga., and formerly of Hundred, WV. and Waynesburg, Pa. died at 5:00 a.m. Thursday, August 27, 2015 in the Fairview Park Hospital in Dublin, Ga., following a brief illness.
She was born July 18, 1922 in Morris Twp.,(Time), Pa. a daughter of the late Harry Stephen and Dora Mae Clutter Clutter, and was a 1940 graduate of the former Prosperity High School.
Mrs. Minton was a member of the Hundred United Methodist Church, a former member of the Eastern Star Chapter and was also a member of the former Ladies GASCO Club of Columbia Gas Corporation.
She had resided in Hundred for 32 years prior to returning to Pa. and the Waynesburg area in 1990.
Mrs. Minton moved to McRae, Ga. in 2013, following the death of her husband, in order to be closer to her daughter and family, where she resided at the Southern Charm Assisted Living facility.
She and her late husband were avid golfers, and were members of the Waynesburg Senior Bowling League for 18 years, she also enjoyed quilting and knitting. Her greatest joy was cooking for her family.
Mrs. Minton was employed during World War II at the former Jessop Steel Corporation and former Old Trails Motors and assisted in the war effort assembling hand grenades.
On August 22, 1943 she married John G. Minton who died November 10, 2009.
Surviving are a son, Jerry, husband of Sue Minton of Freedom, Pa.; a daughter, Susan, wife of James (Butch) Mitchell of McRae, Ga.; two grandchildren, Michael, husband of Cathy Mitchell and Brianna Mitchell Carey; four great grandchildren, Mitch, Chandler and Landon Carey and Hali Strykoski; several nieces and nephews.
The family of Mrs. Minton would also like to remember her special friends, residents and staff at Southern Charm as her extended family.
Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a son, John G. Minton, Jr.; a brother, Von Clutter; two sisters, Ferne McKissick and Iva Mankey.
Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of services at 2 p.m., Sunday, August, 30, 2015 in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. Interment will follow in Braddock Cemetery, Graysville, Pa. The family suggests memorial contributions to your local V.F.W or American Legion.
