Herman Clutter Sr

Herman S. Clutter, Sr., 86, of Richhill Twp., Greene Co., Pa died at 6:07 p.m. Saturday, May 12, 2007 in The Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years.He was born February 17, 1921 in Richhill Twp., (Crabapple), Greene County, Pa. a son of Jesse Edward and Ollie Lou Cheek Clutter and had resided in Richhill Twp. all of his life.Mr. Clutter was an employee of the former Char-Mar Ranch in Graysville and was lasted employed by the former Columbia Gas Transmission Company for 36 years at the Majorsville Station as the Operations Supervisor prior to retiring in 1984 and was a member of the Columbia Gas Quarter Century Club.He was a member of the N.R.A. and enjoyed collecting and rebuilding Farmall tractors and traveling out west for elk, deer and bear hunting and fishing as long as his health permitted.Mr. Clutter was first married to the late Leota Sprowls Clutter who died July 24, 2004 and on March 22, 1981, he married Madalyn Lorraine Amos Whipkey clutter who survives. Also surviving are one son, Herman S. Clutter, Jr. of West Finley; four daughters, Ellen, wife of Howard Dunn of Washington, Darlene, wife of Robert Caldwell of West Alexander, Patricia, wife of Doug Barnickle of Washington, and Janet, wife of Jim Bauduin of Amity; four step sons, R. Gary, husband of Donna whipkey of Graysville, Donald, husband of Janine Whipkey of Moundsville, W.Va., Dave, husband of Beth Whipkey of Waynesburg, and Kevin, husband of Tammy Whipkey of West Finley; two step daughters, Crystal Lazear, companion of Kevin Campbell of Wind Ridge, and Teresa, wife of John Davis of West Finley; one sister, Lillie, wife of Carl Barney of West Finley; one sister in law, Dottie Clutter of Washington; twelve grandchildren; nine step grandchildren; four great grandchildren; fourteen step great grandchildren Deceased is addition to his first wife are a son, Ronnie Clutter; one step grandson, Jesse Lazear; one brother, Albert Clutter; two half brothers, Paul and James Clutter; two half sisters, Nellie Shurden and Lenora Miller.
