Henry B. Rusmisel, Jr.,86,formerly of West Alexander, Pa. died at 5:40 a.m. Wednesday, November 4, 2009 in the Kade Nursing Home, Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several months.He was born February 14, 1923 in Claysville, Pa. a son of the late Henry Berlin and Lelia Swearingen Rusmisel and had resided in the West Alexander area since 1942.Mr. Rusmisel was a former member of the Claysville U.M. Church and at the time of his death was a member of the West Alexander United Presbyterian Church where he had served on the church session.He was an employee of the former Brockway Glass Plant in Washington for 17 years, a former employee of D.D. Mullett Coal Co. in Burgettstown, the Vang Construction Co. prior to owning and operating the Rusmisel Sunoco in West Alexander from 1969 until 1980 when he opened the Rusmisel Auto Repair Garage until retiring in 2007.Mr. Rusmisel served two terms as a Donegal Twp. Supervisor.On June 8, 1942 he married Frances Harriett Clemens who died April 5, 1986.Surviving are a son, William H., husband of Barbara Rusmisel of Claysville; two daughters, Kay, wife of Clyde Cummins of Heweytown, Al. and Donna, wife of William Weisgerber of Dallas, W.Va.; five grandchildren, Rod and Jeff McConn, Scott and Kevin Rusmisel, Bryon Cummins; 11 great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to his parents and wife are two granddaughters who died in infancy; five sisters, Bertha Anderson, Evangeline Frye, Frances Kerns and Dorothy (Dean) Dunkle and Jane Armstrong.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the West Alexander U.P.
