Helen Main

Helen V. Main, 86, of West Alexander, Pa. died at 8:15 a.m. Friday, June 13, 2008 in The Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa., after being in failing health for the past several years. She was born March 16, 1922 in Marshall Co. W.Va. a daughter of Lil Burn and Utia Mae Mahan Gittings and had resided in the West Alexander area for over 50 years. Mrs. Main was a member of the West Alexander United Methodist Church and had attended Triadelphia (W.Va.) High School. She and her late husband enjoyed square dancing as long as their health permitted. On November 28, 1941 she married Glenn Reed Main who died July 19, 1999. Surviving are her primary caregivers, Charles E. and Donna Horr Dague of Valley Grove, W.Va. and several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to her husband and parents are a son, John Reed Main who died April 25, 1994; two sisters, Dorothy Horr and Jean Magale; one brother who died in infancy. Mrs. Main was the last of her immediate family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the West Alexander U.M. Church, PO Box 302, West Alexander, Pa. 15376.
