Helen M. Ealy, 88, of Waynesburg, Pa. and formerly of Graysville, Pa. died at 6:15 a.m. Sunday, November 1, 2009 in the Golden Living Center, Waynesburg after being in failing health for the past several years.She was born December 23, 1920 in East Finley Twp., Washington Co., Pa. a daughter of the late Albert Herman and Grace Theo Lydia Hewitt Wright and had resided in Graysville for 47 years prior to moving to Waynesburg in 2004.Mrs. Ealy was a former member of the Fairmount United Methodist Church in East Finley where she served as a Sunday school teacher and choir member and at the time of her death was a member of the Union Valley United Methodist Church where she had also served as a Sunday school teacher.She enjoyed quilting as long as her health permitted.On December 28, 1936 she married Howard Nelson Ealy, Sr. who died February 14, 1966 and was later a long time companion of the late Jack Barnhart who died May 4, 2004.Surviving is a son, Howard Nelson "Sonny" Ealy, Jr. of Wheeling, W.Va.; two grandsons, David Nelson and Paul James Ealy; five great grandchildren; a sister, Edith, wife of Howard Crouse of Graysville, Pa.; a brother, Charlie, husband of Romaine Wright of Claysville, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents, husband and companion are 3 brothers, Herman who died in infancy and Richard and Cecil Wright; two sisters, Nina Wright who died in infancy and Frances Bennett.Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Wednesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral and committal services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, November 5, 2009 with Pastor Sherry Cook officiating.
