Harry F. "Stump" Temple, 61, of Waynesburg, Pa. died at 4:35 a.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2009 in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa. following a 3 year battle with a cancer related illness.He was born June 27, 1948 in Waynesburg a son of the late Jesse B. and Shirley Kathryn Hardisty Temple and has been a resident of the Waynesburg area all his life.Mr. Temple enjoyed fishing and automobile mechanics as long as his health permitted and was employed as a truck driver for many years prior to retirement due to disability.He was a veteran of the VietNam War where he served as a SP/4 with the U.S. Army and the Hq 213th Engr Det USARV and was awarded the National Defense Service, Vietnam Service and Vietnam Campaign Medals.On May 21, 1983 he married Amelia Maxine Yeager who survives.Also surviving are a son, Timothy Temple at home; two daughters, Michele N. Temple of Waynesburg and Melissa L. Temple at home; one grandchild, Bailee A. Temple; a twin brother, Jesse Harold, husband of Cathy Temple of Charleston, W.Va.; four sisters, Freda "Maggie", wife of Robert Gray of Grafton, Ohio, Artie Temple and Alice, wife of Bill Wilson both of Waynesburg and Mae, wife of Duck Jenkins of Amity; 1 half sister, Lucy, wife of Shorty Morris of Waynesburg; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to his parents is a step son, Al Wilson (Red) Yeager who died in 1987.Graveside military rites will be accorded by representatives of the U.S. Army, American Legion Post 330, V.F.W. Post 4793, D.A.V. Post 123 all of Waynesburg.
