Harry Raymer Jr

Harry C. Raymer, Jr., 80, of Moundsville, W.Va. and formerly of West Alexander and West Finley, Pa. died at 10:15 a.m. Monday, September 20, 2010 in the home of his companion Margaret Hameric.He was born April 6, 1930 in Richhill Twp. Greene Co. Pa. a son of the late Harry Cecil Raymer, Sr. and Zora Irene Looman Raymer and had been a resident of Moundsville since 1991.Mr. Raymer was formerly employed by Georgia Pacific in San Francisco, CA. and by B.F. Goodrich in Washington, Pa. and Steubenville, Ohio, prior to being employed by Grief Brothers in Washington for 15 years prior to retiring in 1991.He enjoyed N.A.S.C.A.R., farming and hunting as long as his health permitted.Surviving are his companion of the past 15 years, Margaret Ann Green Hamric; a son, David, husband of Claudia Raymer of Moundsville; a daughter, Christine, wife of Thomas Bryant of San Jose, CA.; step-children, Debra, wife of Joe Maxian and Brian, husband of Deb Hamric both of Moundsville, and Linda, wife of Rich Crumm of McMechen, W.Va.; four grandchildren, Robert and Sharon Bryant, Justin and Alex Raymer; several step-grandchildren; several step-great grandchildren; a brother, Earl Raymer of Washington, Pa.; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to his parents is a daughter, Carol Piles; a sister, Helen Louise Hewitt; a brother, Robert Jacob Raymer.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Valley Hospice, 308 Mt. Joseph Rd., Wheeling, W.Va. 26003.
