Harold D. Mounts, 84, of Washington (Buffafo Twp.), Pa. died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, November 14, 2014 in the Allegheny General Hospital, Pittsburgh, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years. He was born April 9, 1930 in Buffalo Twp. a son of the late Robert E. and Mabel Reed Patterson Mounts and had resided in Buffalo Twp. all his life. Mr. Mounts was a member of the Claysville United Methodist Church and a 1947 graduate of the former Claysville High School. He was a peacetime veteran of the U.S. Air Force where he served as a PFC with the 1701st Installations Squadron. Mr. Mounts was a 32nd degree Mason with the Claysville Masonic Lodge 447 F&AM and the Syria Shrine, and was also a member of the Buffalo Grange 1523. He was a former Buffalo Twp. constable, a former employee of John McNally at Central Cab, an employee of the late Kenny Miller Service Stations, a self-employed water well driller, and was last employed as a safety supervisor for Ace Doran Hauling and Rigging for 15 years prior to retiring in 1980. On June 21, 1952 he married Norma Faye Kinder who survives. Also surviving are two sons, Alan, husband of Linda Mounts of Buffalo Twp. and Larry, husband of Nancy Mounts of Donegal Twp.; a daughter, Janet, wife of Ed Bebout of Amity; eight grandchildren, Renee Sneddon, Robert, Christian and Nikita Mounts, Edward and Matthew Bebout, Sara Silvers and Lucas McDaniel; six great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; a brother, Glenn, husband of Carol Ann Mounts of Buffalo Twp.; his mother-in-law, Helen M. Doty Kinder of Buffalo Twp.; several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are a daughter, Helen Jane Mounts who died July 4, 2011; three brothers, Lester, Frank and Wray Mounts; a sister, Dorothy Miller. Friends will be received from 3 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Young Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., Claysville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 19, 2014 with Rev. Rico Vespa officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery. Claysville Masonic Lodge 447 F&AM will conduct a memorial service in the funeral home at 7 p.m., Tuesday. Arrangements are under the direction of the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. .
