Harold Miller

Harold F. "Pete" Miller, 86, formerly of Claysville, Pa. died at 5:40 p.m. Monday, November 13, 2006 in the Washington County Health Center, Chartiers Twp., Pa. after a lengthy illness.He was born September 21, 1920 in Claysville, Pa. a son of Graham Edward and Dicie Jane Pratton Miller and had resided in Claysville area for 34 years prior to moving to Washington in 1994. Mr. Miller was affiliated with Fairmount United Methodist Church and the Lighthouse Community Church and enjoyed reminiscing about his time spent (in his early years) with the Christian Endeavor at East Buffalo Presbyterian Church. He was the former owner and operator of Miller's Sunoco in Claysville and Miller's Sinclair in West Alexander, Pa. and was last employed by Taylor's Texaco in Claysville prior to retiring in 1978.Mr. Miller enjoyed camping at Raccoon State Park, traveling and deer hunting as long as his health permitted.On June 22, 1945, he married Evelyn E. Martin Miller who survives.Surviving in addition to his wife are two sons, Frank, husband of Eleanor Miller of Claysville, Pa. and Raymond Edward, husband of Janie Miller of West Alexander, Pa.; one sister, Vivian Meneely of Omaha, NE; five grandchildren, Brian, Chad, Mark, Mike and Megan Miller; three step grandchildren, Jay, Jessica and Nicole McConn; five great grandchildren, Preston, Emily, Chase, Cole and Caroline Miller; three step great grandchildren, Chris, Skyelar, and Keagan,Deceased are a brother, George A. Miller; three sisters, Jessie Keefe, Mary Jane Sanders and Elizabeth Y. Woods.
