Gregg Allen Garland, beloved husband and daddy, 46, of Cameron, W.Va. and formerly of Aleppo, Pa. died at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 6, 2003 in his home from a cancer related illness.He was born July 29, 1956 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of the late Lloyd Alton and Josephine Dora Wright Garland who both died in 1978.Mr. Garland has been a resident of the Cameron area since 1981 where he was a member of the Fist Christian Church in Cameron.He was a 1974 graduate of West Greene High School and a 1978 graduate of California State Teachers College (California University of Pa.).Mr. Garland has been employed by the U.S. Postal Service for the past 20 years, as a mail carrier in Moundsville, W.Va. from 1983 until 1987, when he was appointed postmaster of the Sycamore, Pa. post office, and served until 1990 when he was named postmaster at the Aleppo Post Office where he served until ill health forced his retirement. He had also serviced on several O.I.C. assignments with the postal service.He and his wife have owned and operated J-K Satellite Sales and Installation since 1998.On April 21, 1984 he married Karen Sue Ward Garland who survives.Also surviving are a daughter, Josie Kathryn Garland at home; one brother, William W. Garland (husband of Beverly) of Bell Vernon, Pa.; one niece, Beth Ann Garland and one nephew, Mark E. Garland.
