Grace Teagarden

Grace M. Teagarden, 92, formerly of Richhill Twp., died Wednesday, January 2, 2013 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa.She was born May 12, 1920 in Springhill Twp., Greene Co. Pa. a daughter of the late Ray Lantz and Margaret Knight Moore.Mrs. Teagarden had resided in Placerville, CA. for several years prior to returning the Greene County area in 1969.She was 1940 graduate of the former Waynesburg High School.Mrs. Teagarden was the oldest member of the First Assembly of God Church in Eastview (Franklin Twp.)She enjoyed quilting as long as her health permitted, listening to gospel music and animals of all kinds.On June 2, 1946 she married Walter Burns Teagarden who died June 20, 2008.Surviving are two daughters, Arlene, wife of Jerry Lantzer of Richhill Twp. and Margaret, wife of Robert Dunn of Reading, CA.; four grandchildren, Kristen Lantzer, Jennifer Lantzer Novak, William and Theresa Bowman; six great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her parents and husband is a grandson, Aaron Lantzer; a brother, John Moore.Mrs. Teagarden was the last of her immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Assembly of God Church, 4131 W.
