Glenn F. (Teddy/Bud) Tedrow, 64, of Mather, Pa. and formerly of Wind Ridge and Jefferson, Pa. died at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, May 30, 2009 in his home after suffering with a cancer related illness for the past 13 months.He was born November 11, 1944 in Holbrook, Pa. a son of Mary Elizabeth Tilton Tedrow Bland of Waynesburg (East View), Pa. and the late Glenn Woodrow Tedrow and has been a resident of Mather since 2001.Mr. Tedrow was 1962 graduate of West Greene High School.He retired as a sergeant first class with 25 years of military service with the U. S. Army on June 30, 1984.Mr. Tedrow was an employee of the former John Howard Subaru Sales in Waynesburg, and was employed by the State Department of Corrections for 15 years and had been employed as the manager of the Jefferson Motel for 7 years at the onset of his illness.He was a member and past commander of the Jefferson American Legion Post 954.Mr. Tedrow enjoyed playing golf as long as his health permitted.In July 1984 he married Dorothy Juanita Henry Allman who survives.Also surviving in addition to his wife and mother, are a son, Dominike F., husband of Angie Tedrow of Waynesburg; a daughter, Sandy K. Tedrow of Germany; a step son, Daniel J., husband of Jennifer Allman of Mather; a step daughter, Donna, wife of Daniel Morris of Carmichaels; two sisters, Helen Rife of Cranberry and Patricia, wife of Henry White of Masontown, W.Va.; two step grandchildren, Connessa D., wife of Danny Sager and Haley M. Allman; two step great grandchildren, Austin and Richard Sager.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Albert Gallatin Home Care Hospice, Service Agency #2615, Hospice Team 16, 102 S. Main St., Masontown, Pa. 15461. Graveside military rites will be accorded by representatives of the U.S. Army and the Jefferson American Legion Post 954.
