Gerald Brownlee

Gerald E. "Jerry" Brownlee, 70, of E. Finley Twp. Washington Co. Pa. died at 8:20 p.m. Sunday, November 29, 2009 in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa. after being in failing health since 1995.He was born October 28, 1939 in E. Finley Twp. a son of the late Baum Blaine and Zona Belle Lindley Brownlee and had been a resident of E. Finley Twp. all his life.Mr. Brownlee was a member of the Fairmount United Methodist Church, E. Finley Twp.He enjoyed leisurely drives through the country, gardening and had raised beef cattle and sheep all his life.Mr. Brownlee was employed by the former MacAnallen Construction Co. and Local 286 in Brownsville for 30 years prior to retiring in 1995.On June 26, 1970 he married Bonnie Wright who survives.Also surviving are two sons, Gerald D., husband of Cindy Brownlee and Michael, husband of Beth Brownlee, a daughter, Eva, wife of Michael Harris all of E. Finley Twp.; a brother, Sherman, husband of Janet Brownlee of E. Finley Twp.; a sister, Ethel, wife of Donald Boggs of Wheeling, W.Va.; 6 grandchildren, John M., Kacie, Sean and Cameron Brownlee, David and Julie Harris.Deceased in addition to his parents are two brothers, Baum J. and Grover Lehman Brownlee.The family suggest memorial contributions be made to the Donnell House, c/o Hospice Care of The Washington Hospital, 155 Wilson Ave., Washington, Pa. 15301.
