Georgetta Wilkinson Leimkuehler, 80, of Hopedale, Ohio and formerly of Greene Co. Pa. died at 11:20 p.m. Wednesday, December 16, 2009 in the Gable Care Center in Hopedale after being in failing health for the past several years.She was born February 26, 1929 in Wellsburg, W.Va. a daughter of the late Benjamin Harrison and Nora Easter Lee Ritchea Wilkinson.Mrs. Leimkuehler had resided in the Holbrook (Greene Co.) Pa. area from 1955 until moving to Conway, S. Carolina in 1988, returning to Greene Co. (Waynesburg) in 2001.She had made her home with her daughter Patricia King from 2001 in Waynesburg and in Conway until moving to Ohio in June of this year.Mrs. Leimkuehler had attended the First Baptist Church in Waynesburg.She enjoyed playing bingo, baking, gardening and attending functions at the Waynesburg Senior Citizen Center as long as her health permitted.Mrs. Leimkuehler was a former member of the Myrtle Beach Moose Lodge.On November 23, 1946 she married Henry Ellsworth "Elzie" Leimkuehler who died February 24, 2001.Surviving are two daughters, Patricia King of Conway, S. Carolina and Sharon Ryan of Murrells Inlet, S. Carolina; a son, Henry E. Leimkuehler, Jr., husband of Doreen Leimkuehler of Rayland, Ohio; four sisters, Ruth Matuszny of Creston, Ohio, Mildred Tanner of Wooster, Ohio, Rebecca, wife of Lee Schaad of Cleveland, Ohio and Josephine Ryan of Streetsboro, Ohio; seven grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a son, John Alexander Leimkuehler who died in 1997; two grandchildren, Donald and Carol King; a sister, Gail Wilkinson who died in infancy; six brothers, Homer Fuller, Ben, John, William and Earl Wilkinson and one brother who died in infancy.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh Foundation, 1251 Waterfront Place, Floor 5, Pittsburgh, Pa. 15222.
