Genevieve C. "Babe" Headley, 96, of Wind Ridge, Pa. died at 8:10 a.m. Tuesday, May 18, 2004 in her home.She was born March 29, 1908 in Richhill Township, Greene County, Pa. a daughter of Robert Lincoln and Bernice Caroline Taylor Grim and has been a resident of the Wind Ridge area all her life with the exception of residing for 15 years in Waynesburg, Pa.Mrs. Headley was a member of the Wind Ridge Christian Church where she was a member of the Loyal Women's Bible Class.She was a 1928 graduate of Richhill Township High School.Mrs. Headley was a member and served as the first President of the Richhill Township V.F.D. Auxiliary and was a member of the Wind Ridge Ladies Missionary Society.She was an employee of the former Hagan Dairy and East End Restaurant both in Waynesburg, the former Buckheimer Leather Factory in Cameron, W.Va. and was the co-owner with her sister, Dorothy Smalley, of the former Dairy Bar in Jacktown (Wind Ridge).On December 15, 1928 she married Gerald Headley who died January 14, 1998.Surviving are two daughters, Shirley Lazear of Cameron, W.Va. and Linda Conkey with whom she shared her home; seven grandchildren, Cindy Lazear Jones, Patty Lazear Wilson, Christy Lazear Hartman, J. Thomas and James A. Lazear, Jane Conkey Beahm and Andrew Conkey; 21 great grandchildren; 5 great great grandchildren.Deceased are two sons, Allen Gene and Robert Richard Headley; one great grandson, Jesse Aaron Lazear; four brothers, Raymond, Samuel, Lloyd and Robert L. Grim, Jr.; three sisters, Helen Ingersall, Grace Miller and Dorothy Smalley.Mrs. Headley was the last of her immediate family.
