Geneva "Jenny" Stewart, 87, of Wind Ridge, Pa. and formerly of Waynesburg and Canonsburg died Friday, August 21, 2009 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. after being seriously ill since April.She was born January 17, 1922 in Everson, W. Va. a daughter of James Alan and Mary Virginia McGraw Mullenaux and had resided in the Canonsburg area for several years prior to moving to Waynesburg in 1990 and had made her home with her daughter since June of this year.Mrs. Stewart was a member of the Trinity Baptist Church in Waynesburg.She was a former employee of Krency's Bakery in Washington and the former G.C. Murphy Co. in McMurray, and was the owner and operator of the former Jenny's Dairy Bar in Waynesburg and Jenny's Rooming House in Canonsburg and was self employed as an in-home caregiver for several families in Greene Co. prior to retiring in 2000.Mrs. Stewart enjoyed making candy and caring for neighborhood children as long as her health permitted.On March 12, 1955 she married Frederick Stewart who died April 28, 1959.Surviving are a daughter, Candy L. (Sue), wife of Richard Cheek of Wind Ridge; three sons, Charles and Ardiste (Art) Tenny and Fred, husband of Donna Stewart all of Washington; a brother, Ray, husband of Kim Mullenaux of Kansas; eleven grandchildren; three great grandchildren.Deceased are a granddaughter, Kalah Marie Cheek who died in 2003; a sister, Gay Mullenaux (twin to brother Ray) who died at birth; five brothers, Glenn, who was killed in action during WW II, Howard, Ralph, Donald and Frederick Mullenaux.
