Frederick E. Phillips, 70, of Holbrook, R.D. #1 died at 6:55 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2004 in Washington Hospital, Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several months. He was born May 3, 1934 in Leesburg, Fl. a son of James William and Bertha Mae Ullom Phillips.Mr. Phillips had resided in Aleppo Township prior to moving to Jackson Township in 1988. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.Mr. Phillips was a member of Valley Chapel United Methodist Church, Holbrook, Pa. He was employed by Greene County as a State Constable, and was a security guard for West Greene High School and was last employed as a school bus driver by Wayne Grim Bus Line.He was a member of the Warrior Trail.On July 27, 1957, he married Ethel Iona Morris Phillips who survives. Also surviving are seven children, Debbie Phillips of New Freeport, R.D. #1, Bill, husband of Betty Johnson Phillips of New Freeport, R.D. #1, Dennis, husband of Jenny Barnhart Phillips of Waynesburg, Pa., Donna, wife of John Carter of Waynesburg, Pa., Russell Phillips at home, Bonnie, wife of James McClure, Jr. of Aleppo, Pa., Michelle, wife of Dusty Haught of Waynesburg, Pa.; twenty three grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; three brothers, Terry Phillips of New Freeport, Pa., Jerry Phillips of Florida, and James Phillips, Jr. of Colorado; one sister, Margaret A. "Dodie" Reel of Blacksville, W.Va.; one half brother, Dennis Blouir of Holbrook; and several nieces and nephews.Deceased is one granddaughter; one sister, Audrey Varner; two brothers, Charles and Ted Phillips.
