Frances A. Stoneking, 84, of Holbrook, Pa. R.D.#1 (Pine Bank) died at 2:30 a.m. Thursday, March 25, 2004 in her home after a two and one half year cancer related illness.She was born June 24, 1919 in Fairmont, W.Va. a daughter of James Alpheus and Myrtle Malinda Goff Lemasters.Mrs. Stoneking had been a resident of Gilmore Township most of her life where she was a member and former Sunday school teacher at the Bethel Community Church in Pine Bank.She enjoyed crocheting as long as her health permitted and had served as a volunteer with the Salvation Army in her early years.On March 19, 1938 she married William Melvin (Bill) Stoneking who died May 7, 2002.Surviving are two daughters, Elizabeth Bell of Wind Ridge and Helen Orndoff of Lima, Ohio; two sons, Richard and James (Buddy) Stoneking both of Pine Bank; one brother, James A. Lemasters, Jr. of Grafton, Ohio; one sister, Delphia Hamilton of Saugus, CA.; 13 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; one great great granddaughter.Deceased in addition to her husband are one sister, Elizabeth Yoho; four brothers, Harry Lemasters who died in infancy, George, Tobias and Archie Lemasters.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
