Floyd Ray "Pete" Morris

Floyd R. Pete Morris, 80, of Holbrook, Pa. died at 6:00 am. Sunday, November 22, 2015 in his home after being in failing health for the past year.

He was born January 27, 1935 in Jackson Twp., Greene County, Pa. a son of the late Floyd and Audrey McMasters Morris and had resided in Jackson Twp. all his life.

Mr. Morris formerly attended the Valley Chapel United Methodist Church at Holbrook.

He enjoyed hunting and fishing as long as his health permitted, and was an avid collector of ceramic birds, model antique cars and tractors.

Mr. Morris was last employed for over 30 years as a laborer with the Center Twp. Supervisors prior to retiring in 1997.

Surviving are his caregivers, nieces Debra Phillips and Tammy, wife of James Lee Johnson, both of Holbrook; two sisters, Ethel Phillips of Holbrook and Erma, wife of Gary Orndoff of Waynesburg; and several additional nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to his parents are three adult brothers, Russell (Jake), Junior and George Morris, and a brother, Asa Morris who died in infancy; three sisters, Velma Morris, Jessie Stohon, and a sister who died in infancy.

Friends will be received from 1 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, November 25, 2015 with Pastor Gayle Cobb officiating. Interment will follow in Centennial Cemetery, Aleppo Twp.
