Flora Cole

Flora A. " Dolly " Lidey Cole, 74, of Carmichaels, Pa. died at 8:50 p.m. Sunday, December 21, 2008 in the Rolling Meadows Nursing Home, Waynesburg, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years.She was born February 18, 1934 in Harrisonville, TN., a daughter of the late John J. and Dolly Hester Anderson and had resided in the Waynesburg and Sycamore areas prior to moving to Carmichaels in 2003.Mrs. Cole was a member of the First Baptist Church in Carmichaels.She traveled the world as a circus performer (unicycle, acrobat and animal trainer, etc.) for several years prior to retiring due to ill health.Mrs. Cole earned her certification in word processing from Penn Commercial Business College in Washington, Pa.She was a volunteer with the Waynesburg Senior Citizens and meals-on-wheels program.On June 13, 1973 she married Raymond Lidey who died in 1987 and on April 27, 1997 she married Richard Eugene Cole who died October 19, 2005.Surviving are a step daughter, Anita, wife of Terry Ross of Aleppo, Pa.; three step sons, Richard, husband of Staci Cole of Waynesburg, Arthur " Cork ", husband of Cyndy Cole of Prosperity and David, husband of Robin Cole of Pittsburgh; a brother, John Anderson of North Carolina; nine step grandchildren; six step great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her parents and husbands is a sister, Laura Jane Keller.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the First Baptist Church, Carmichaels, Pa. 15320.
