Evelyn Ann Jordan

Evelyn Ann Jordan, 77, of Aleppo, Pa. and formerly of Pittsburgh, died at 1:20 p.m. Saturday, November 14, 2015 in the Donnell House, Washington, Pa. following a lengthy illness.

She was born September 1, 1938 in Pittsburgh a daughter of the late John J. and Loretta Ann Fink Spratt and had resided in Pittsburgh all her life prior to moving to Aleppo in 1989.

Mrs. Jordan was a 1956 graduate of St. Justins High School in Pittsburgh.

She enjoyed puzzles, reading and the time she was able to spend with her family and grandchildren.

Mrs. Jordan was a telephone operator for the former Bell Telephone Company in Pittsburgh, and was the co-owner and operator, with her late husband, of the Jordan Store in Aleppo for several years, which is still owned and operated by her family.

On October 25, 1958 she married Louis (Lou) Albert Jordan, Jr. who died May 1, 2010.

Surviving are five daughters, Joi, wife of Scott Sotler, Teri, Gayle and Bonnie Jordan, all of Aleppo, and Diane, wife of Edward Mills of Pittsburgh; a son, Louis A. Jordan, III of Reynoldsville; seven grandchildren, Kristi Sotler Rohm, Jared Smith, Ryan Sotler, Dallas Cunningham, Nicole, Bryan and Katie Mills; six great grandchildren, Aubrey, Rylee and Emalee Sotler, Abigail and Kenzi Rohm, Braxton Cunningham; two sisters, Shirl, wife of William Radcliff and Sharon, wife of James Vogel, both of Pittsburgh; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents and husband are a grandson, Max Jordan Cunningham, who died May 24, 2015; a sister and two brothers.

At the request of the family there will be no public visitation or funeral services. All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Max Cunningham Scholarship Fund, Attn: Eric Bedilion, c/o West Greene High School, 1352 Hargus Creek Rd., Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
