Ethan Day

Ethan J. Day, 22, of West Finley (Richhill Twp., Greene Co.,) Pa. died unexpectedly Sunday, September 16, 2012 from injuries received in an ATV accident.He was born October 21, 1989 in Waynesburg, Pa. a son of Jerry Wayne and Betsy Lynn Bennett Day of West Finley, and had resided in Richhill Twp. all his life.Mr. Day was a member and trustee of the Nebo United Methodist Church and the National Rifle Association.He was a 2008 graduate of West Greene High School where he participated in football and was a member of the FFA.Mr. Day enjoyed welding, hunting, motor sports, truck/tractor pulls, farming, and at the age of 12 built his own go-cart and later performed a frame-up restoration of a 1976 Chevrolet pick-up.He was employed by Day and Son Excavating and the Day Brothers farm.Surviving in addition to his parents, are two brothers, Derek N. Day at home and Todd D., husband of Heather Finnegan Day of State College; maternal grandparents, William and Donna Yoders Bennett of Graysville; two aunts and uncles, Brenda Bennett Tennant, wife of Donnie Tennant of Amity and Charles, husband of Beth Teagarden Day of West Finley; several cousins.Deceased are his paternal grandparents, Paul and Madlyn Archer Day; two uncles, Robert Paul Day and Barry Bennett.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to a charity of your choice.
