Eric T. Corbly, 26, of Huntington, NY and formerly of Claysville, Pa. died Friday, April 11, 2008 in the Hospice House in East Northport, NY after battling cancer of the brain since May 2007. He was born October 31, 1981 in Washington, Pa. a son of Gregory Corbly of Huntington, NY and Bobbie Jean Redd of Claysville and had resided in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. prior to moving to Huntington in 2007. Mr. Corbly was a 2000 graduate of McGuffey High School where he played basketball and football. He was last employed as an assistant manager with Foot Locker in Ft. Lauderdale, Fl. Surviving in addition to his parents are his step mother, Lorraine Corbly of Huntington, NY; step father, William Redd of Claysville; two half sisters, Honor Marie Corbly of Huntington, NY and Shalynn Redd of Claysville; one half brother, Gregory Corbly of Huntington; a step brother, Anthony Redd and a step sister, Stephenie Price both of Washington; maternal grandparents, Nancy and Gerald Skeddle of Marionville, Oh.; paternal grandmother, Millie Corbly of Claysville; his companion of the past 6 years; Amber Scott, of Canonsburg, Pa.; several aunts, uncles and cousins. Deceased are his maternal grandfather, Robert Lawson; paternal grandfather, William Corbly. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday in the Claysville U. M. Church, Claysville, Pa. where services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 18, 2008 with Rev. Patricia Lutz officiating. Interment will follow in Claysville Cemetery. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Eric Corbly Cancer Fund, c/o Community Bank, Box A, Claysville, Pa. 15323.
