Obituary for Elza Wilson

Elza (Dode) C. Wilson, of Cameron, W.Va. and formerly of Center Twp. Greene Co. Pa. died at 9:45 p.m. Sunday, September 28, 2008 in the Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, W.Va. after being in failing health for the past several years.He was born March 20, 1925 in Monongalia Co. (Daybrook), W.Va. a son of Elzy Sherman and Jettie Pearl Tennant Wilson. Mr. Wilson was a member of the Aleppo Brethren Church.He was last employed as a maintenance man with Consolidation Coal Co. at the Moundsville (W.Va.) Ireland Mine for over 28 years prior to retiring in 1977 and was a member of the U.M.W. Local 1110. Mr. Wilson was first married to Sarah Catherine Taylor who died in 1968, later married to Ailene Tustin who died in 1971 and on September 10, 1971 he married Faye M. Lohr Hill who survives.Also surviving are three sons, Denzil, husband of Jeannine Wilson of Carnegie, Pa., Arnold, husband of Vickie Wilson of Washington (Lagonda), Pa. and Kevin, husband of Meg Wilson of Rogersville; two daughters, Linda, wife of Larry Ashby of Cameron, W.Va and Sheila, wife of Floyd Showalter of Massilon, Ohio; a step son, Allen (Buddy), husband of Pam Hill of Wind Ridge, Pa.; two step daughters, Donna, wife of Bruce Henevich of Wind Ridge, Pa. and Janet, wife of Louis Hunyady of Brownsville, Pa.; one brother, Denzil, husband of Jean Wilson of Fairview, W.Va.; 17 grandchildren; 18 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; 7 step grandchildren; 11 step great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Deceased are an infant daughter, Janet Lynn Wilson; a step son, Michael Hill; two brothers, Stephen and Earnest Wilson; four sisters, Pearlie Moore, Sarah Tennant, Garland Brickover and Charlotte Howard; a granddaughter, Catherine Darlene Simms; two step brothers, Earl and Arley Wilson; one sister, Mary Jones.
