Ellen Piper

Ellen Alice Piper, 81, of New Freeport, Pa. and formerly of Cassville, W.Va. died at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, August 2, 2007 in the home of her daughter, Rickie Jolliff.She was born November 5, 1925 in Mt. Clair (Clarksburg), W.Va. a daughter of Lee Henry and Vivian Crislip Yeager and had resided in Cassville, W.Va. since 1974 prior to moving to New Freeport in July 2006.On September 5, 1963, she married Ellsworth Luther Piper who died on September 7, 2000.Surviving are seven daughters, Rickie L. Piper Jolliff, wife of Jeffrey Jolliff of New Freeport, Pa. with whom she shared her home, Betty A., wife of Fred Fortney of Morgantown,W.Va., Denise M. Piper Dulaney, wife of Melvin Dulaney of Aleppo, Pa., , Sue Menear, fianc of Ralph Varner, Kimberly Piper Marks, wife of Bill Marks, Brenda K. Piper Tichenor, companion of Dave Yoss, and Christina, wife of Duane Saltzman, all of Cassville, W.Va.; four sons, Fred M. Johnson of Cassville, W.Va., Joseph, husband of Helen Piper, Randy S., husband of Cheryl Piper, all of Morgantown, W.Va., and David E., husband of Rhonda Piper of Deep Valley, Pa.; one sister, Wanita Hilleman of Baltimore, Md.; thirty three grandchildren and several great grandchildren.Deceased in addition to her husband are a son, Virgil Lee Johnson who died on March 20, 2006; and a sister, Thelma Lawson.
