Edis Raymond

Edis June Raymond, 73, of Holbrook, Pa. and formerly of Bridgeton, N. J. died at 4:00 p.m. Friday, June 20, 2008 in the Donnell House in Washington, Pa. after being in failing health for the past 8 years. She was born June 20, 1935 in Hundred, W.Va. a daughter of the late Ezra Sylvester and Hazel Hostetler Wise and had resided in the Bridgeton, N. J. area for several years prior to moving to Richhill Twp. in September 2000. Mrs. Raymond was in employed by the Kerr Glass House, the Bridgeton Sewing Factory, Cumberland County Medical Center, Musso Bussing, all in New Jersey, and was last employed by the Men's Brothers Cleaners in Bridgeton for 7 years prior to retiring in 1997. She enjoyed making wreaths, flower arranging and playing the piano. Mrs. Raymond was first married to the late Lawrence Snyder and on February 25, 1983 she married Robert Clifford Raymond, Sr. who survives. Also surviving are a daughter, Angela, wife of John Dixon of Millville, N.J., two sons, Leonard D. Snyder of Oak Forest, Pa. and Randy W., husband of Rachelle Snyder of Bridgeton, N.J.; a step son, Robert C. Raymond, Jr. of Quinton, N.J.; five grandchildren; six great grandchildren; two step grandchildren; a sister, Darlene Wise of Sycamore, Pa.; six brothers, Dewey Wise and Andy, husband of Ruth Ann Wise of Springhill Twp., Larry, husband of Carrie Wise of Hundred, W.Va., Harold, husband of Retha Wise of New Freeport, Pa. and Doug Wise of Wheeling, W.Va. and Joseph, husband of Margaret Wise of Oak Forest. Deceased in addition to her first husband and parents are a son, Kenneth K. Snyder; two step daughters, Litisha Marie and Yvonne Tina Raymond.
