Donna Hanlin

Donna M. DeWitt Hanlin, 61, formerly of New Florence, Pa. died at 10:30 p.m. Monday, September 18, 2006 in Seabright Personal Care Home, Rogersville, Pa. She was born July 14, 1945 in Dyersburg, Tenn. a daughter of the late Gilbert Ray and Elda Mae Rummel DeWitt and had resided in Michigan City, IN prior to moving to Rogersville in 1999.Mrs. Hanlin was a 1963 graduate of Laurel Valley High School, New Florence, Pa. and a graduate of Indiana Vocational Technical College in Michigan City with a practical nursing degree.She was a veteran of the Vietnam War where she served in the U.S. Navy as a HM3 WAVE with the U.S. Naval Hospital in Portsmouth, N.H. and was awarded the National Defense Service Medal.Mrs. Hanlin was last employed as a practical nurse for several years with LaPorte Hospital in LaPorte, Indiana.On November 18, 1967, she married Daniel Dwayne Hanlin who died January 8, 1999.Surviving are one brother, Stanley, husband of Patty DeWitt of Mt. Morris, two nephews, Jason and Michael DeWitt, both of Morgantown, W.Va.; one uncle, Lester, husband of Corniella Rummel; a special aunt, Emma, wife of Roy Richardson and several cousins, all of the New Florence, Pa. area.
