Daniel E. Kerik

Daniel E. Kerik, 53, of Clarksville, Pa died unexpectedly Sunday, December 7, 2014 in the Southwest Regional Medical Center emergency room, Waynesburg, Pa. He was born October 29, 1961 in Waynesburg a son of Joan Florence Griffin Kerik of Clarksville and the late Steve David Kerik and had resided in the Clarksville area all his life. Mr. Kerik attended the Clarksville Christian Church. He was a 1980 graduate of Jefferson-Morgan High School and attended classes for the heating and air conditioning trade at the Greene County Vo-Tech. Mr. Kerik enjoyed the time with his grandchildren, was an avid fisherman, enjoyed boating and traveling to the mountains and camping, He was a former employee of US Steel, was a production and shipping coordinator for Flexicore, an auto detailer and driver for Bortz Chevrolet, and was a laborer for Joy Manufacturing in Houston, Pa. and this past summer was a laborer with Penn D.O.T. On August 21, 2004 he married Cathy Christine Kennedy who survives. Also surviving in addition to his wife and mother are three step-daughters, Brandi, wife of Randall Cogar and Amanda Walls, both of Carmichaels and Candice Walls of Clarksville; seven grandchildren; two brothers, David, husband of Susan Kerik of Clarksville and Mark, husband of Denise Kerik of Allison; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 3 to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Friday, December 12, 2014 with Pastor Sandra Conti officiating. Interment will follow in Rosemont Cemetery, Center Twp. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Carmichaels Senior Citizens, 100 Nemacolin Rd., Carmichaels, Pa. 15320.
