Obituary for Clara King
Clara L. King, 76, of Rt. 2, Shinston W.Va., formerly of Rogersville, Pa. died at 12:40 p.m. Sunday, July 18, 2004 in her home after failing health for the past two years. She was born May 2, 1928 in Rogersville, Greene County, Pa. a daughter of Walter Howard and Clarinda Whyte Crouse and had resided in Warren Ohio for several years, prior to moving Fairmont, W. Va. in 1985. Mrs. King was affiliated with the Church of Christ, and had attended Waynesburg and West Greene High Schools in Greene County, Pa. She was a former member of the American Legion, V.F. W. and Moose Lodge all of Waynesburg and enjoyed outside work, and the companionship of her dog "Zack". Mrs. King had previously been employed by Nickel's Bakery and the former Waynesburg Restaurant, both of Waynesburg, Pa. prior to her employment as a waitress by the Sixth Street Pharmacy in Fairmont prior her retirement due to ill health. Surviving are four children, Terry Wrubleski, husband of Judy of Fairview, W.Va., David R. Craig, companion of Sue Fallon of Granttown, W.Va., Charles Craig, husband of Vicky of Keystone, W.Va., Sheila Swisher, wife of Gary of Shinston, W.Va.; one special step daughter, Lisa King of Fairmont, W.Va.; two brothers, Robert Crouse, husband of Virginia of Rogersville, and Donald Crouse, husband of Bruni of Fayetteville, N.C.; five grandchildren, Jerry and Gary Swisher, Russell, husband of Kristen and Charles Brian Craig, fiance of Christy, Lisa Wrubleski Elswick, wife of Steve, four great grandchildren, Levi, Kayla, Jenni Swisher, and Mikayla Elswick. Deceased in addition to her parents are one brother, Michael Crouse who died in infancy. The family suggests memorial contributions to American Lung Association, Meadow Lane, Wheeling WV 26003 or TLC Home Care (Hospice) 219 Pennsylvania Avenue, Bridgeport, W.Va. 26330.
