Carol Rohm

Carol E. Rohm, 51, of Wind Ridge, Pa. died at 2:35 p.m. Friday, January 4, 2008 in her home after a brave battle with a cancer related illness. She was born August 17, 1956 in McKees Rocks, Pa. a daughter of Carol Jean Holmes Browell Dragnett of Scenery Hill, Pa. and the late Harry Kenneth Browell and has been a resident of Greene County most of her life. Mrs. Rohm was a member of the Place of Grace Church where she served as a Sunday school teacher, deaconess and treasurer. She was a 1975 graduate of West Greene High School and was formerly employed by Burns Delight and the Great Lakes Construction Company both in Wind Ridge. She enjoyed traveling to Florida every spring and fall to visit her best friend until her grandchildren were born and then enjoyed caring for them as long as her health permitted and also enjoyed crocheting, baking, walking and listening to Elvis music and the I Love Lucy television show. On May 5, 1990 she married Rickie Eugene Rohm who survives. Surviving in addition to her husband and mother are a daughter, Constance (Connie) Dorsey, wife of Jacob Bloom of Graysville and a son Brandon Dorsey of Wind Ridge; two step sons, Jason, husband of Kristi Rohm of Aleppo and Randy, husband of Heather Rohm of West Finley; two grandsons, Nash and Harlan Bloom; four sisters, Barbara, wife of James Thomas of Graysville, Kimberly, wife of Cliff Snedeker of Hickory, Debra L. Browell of Washington and Lisa Dawn, wife of Tim Bigler of Southview; step father, John Dragnett, Jr. of Scenery Hill; several nieces and nephews. Friends will be received from 7 to 9 p.m. Monday and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, January 9, 2008 with Rev. James H. Jarvis officiating. Interment will follow in Jacksonville Cemetery, Wind Ridge, Pa. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
