Carol Longwell

Carol J. Longwell, 62, of Cameron, W.Va. died unexpectedly at 1:28 p.m. Friday, June 21, 2013 in the Reynolds Memorial Hospital, Glen Dale, W.Va.She was born December 25, 1950 in Wheeling, W.Va. a daughter of the late Raymond Edmund and Esther Mae West Stoops and had resided in the Cameron area all her life.Mrs. Longwell enjoyed her time with family and grandchildren, cooking, baking and raising a flower garden.She attended Cameron area schools.Mrs. Longwell was formerly employed as a dietary aid at Mound View Health Care in Moundsville, W.Va., a certified nursing assistant at the Cameron Nursing Home and a waitress at the former Brown's Restaurant in Cameron, and at the time of her death she had been employed for the past five years as a home health aide with the Marshall County Senior Center in Moundsville.Surviving are her companion of the past 10 years, Richard Mace; three daughters, Billie Jo Newman of Wheeling, Becky Longwell of Wind Ridge and Betsy Longwell, companion of Jeremiah Cain of New Freeport; five grandchildren, Julie Longwell, Taylor Newman, Wyatt Whitlatch, Mackenzie Miller and Andrew Michael Cain; two brothers, James, husband of Shannon Stoops and Michael Stoops both of Charleston; three sisters, Martha Lee Geho of New Martinsville, Jackie Jobes and Sue Stoops both of Cameron; several nieces and nephews.Deceased in addition to her parents is a son, Michael David Baker.
