C. Frank Kiger, 82, of West Alexander, Pa. died at 1:15 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2006 in his home, with his family present, after being in failing health for the past three to four months.He was born February 18, 1923 in West Finley Twp., Washington Co. a son of John Dale and Nellie Maudress McCoy Kiger and had resided in Beham, Pa. most of his life prior to moving to West Alexander in 1987.Mr. Kiger was a member of the Dallas (W.Va.) United Methodist Church.He was a passionate lover of quarter horses which he raised all his life and was a life member of the State Line Saddle Club.Mr. Kiger served with the C.C. Camp in Helena, Montana for three years.He was last employed by Penn D.O.T. as a laborer (Washington Co.) for twenty years prior to retiring in 1986.On May 29, 1942 he married Ethel "Sue" Lohr Kiger who died January 14, 2002.Surviving are a daughter, Nellie McNinch with whom he shared his home; a sister, Mary Lou Newman of New Bern, N. Carolina; six grandchildren, John, James, Leon "Hoss", Theron "Boomer", Rebecca McNinch and Brenda McNinch Stollar; 12 great grandchildren; 4 great-great grandchildren.Deceased is a brother, Fred Thomas Kiger.
