Betty Anderson

Betty Louise Anderson, 86, formerly of Springhill Twp. Greene Co. Pa. died at 5:45 p.m. Sunday, October 31, 2010 in the Fosnight of Valencia Personal Care Home in Gibsonia, Pa. after being in failing health for the past several years.She was born September 23, 1924 in Springhill Twp. a daughter of the late Walter and Grace Cedelia Wright Moore and had resided in Raccoon Twp. for several years prior to returning to Greene Co. in the 1980's.Mrs. Anderson attended the Mt. Carmel Church of God as a child and upon returning to Greene Co.She enjoyed reading about the U.S. Presidents, collecting carnival glassware, needlepoint and all pets.Mrs. Anderson was a 1943 graduate of Waynesburg High School.On January 11, 1945 she married Dorland Ray Anderson who died July 4, 1990.Surviving are a daughter, Sondra Sue Zuback of Raccoon Twp.; two sons, Austin R., husband of Linda Anderson of Mars and Dorland W., husband of Debra Anderson of Washington; seven grandchildren, Carl and Melisa Anderson, Jennifer Anderson Snyder, Julie, Candice, Steven and Andrew Zuback; eight great grandchildren.Mrs. Anderson was the last of her immediate family.The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Mt. Carmel Church of God, c/o 680 Green Valley Rd., Wind Ridge, Pa. 15380.
