Bert T. Anderson

Bert T. Anderson, age 43, of Hundred, WV, passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, September 8, 2018 in his home.

Born August 26, 1975, in Fairmont, WV, the son of Bert “Skip” Anderson, of Littleton, WV and Frannie (Hildreth) Anderson, of Warwood, WV.

Bert was a proud Wetzel County resident his entire life. He was a 1994 graduate of Hundred High School, where during that time he joined the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department at the age of 16. Bert remained an active member for over 26 years and earned the rank of Chief, which he presently held. He was a member of the Sportsman’s & Farmer's Conservation Club of Hundred and Knob Fork Sportsman’s Club. Bert worked for Marion County Rescue Squad as an EMT for 19 years. He formerly worked for Metz Ambulance Service and Wetzel County EMS. Bert loved hunting and fishing (even more than his wife Sharon). Bert was a hero to his community for his devotion in helping others and saving lives. Bert loved being a firefighter and had many dear friends and brothers at the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department. His smile and the memories he made with others will forever live on in the hearts of many.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his beloved wife, Sharon (Tennant) Anderson; one sister, Christina Geary, of Warwoord, WV; two nephews, Daylon and Brandon; and his favorite cat, Myawk.

Friends will be received on Thursday, September 13, 2018 from 1-9 PM at the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department, 130 Pennsylvania Ave, Hundred WV 26575. A funeral service with first responder sendoff will be held on Friday, September 14, 2018 at the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department at 1:00 PM. A graveside service will follow at Anderson-Bethel Cemetery, Littleton, WV.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hundred Volunteer Fire Department, 130 Pennsylvania Ave. Hundred, WV 26575.
