Bernice Rowan

Bernice Marie Rowan, 62, of Carmichaels, Pa. died unexpectedly at 11:58 p.m. Wednesday, January 25, 2006 in the Southwestern Regional Medical Center, Waynesburg, Pa.She was born July 5, 1943 in Oakland, Md. a daughter of Margarite Helen Barrelo King of Sheridan, Ark. and the late Perry James King, Sr. Mrs. Rowan had resided in Oregon for approximately 10 years prior to returning to Fairmont and Morgantown, W.Va. areas and has resided in the Carmichaels area for the past three years.She was Pentecostal by faith.Mrs. Rowan enjoyed baking with her grandchildren, family outings, crafts and the time spent with her family.She was formerly employed by 7-11 in Oregon, the Foodland Bakery in Morgantown and was last employed as a telemarketer with Sears Home Improvements in Westover, W. Va.Surviving in addition to her mother are three daughters, Terrie (David) Carallino of Morgantown, W. Va., Becky Jacob and her finance Robert Valentine of Fairmont, W.Va. and Kathy (Scott) Alkire of York, S. Carolina; one son, Perry J. "P.J."(Rose Jones Lohr) Rowan, of Carmichaels; one brother, Perry J. (Margaret) King, Jr. of Morgantown, W.Va.; two sisters, Helen (Harold) Lantz of Portland, OR. and Linda (Bert) Spencer of Sheridan, Ark.; nine grandchildren; four great grandchildren.Arrangements are under the direction of the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa.
