Armin Price

Armin R. "Bill" Price, 85, of Graysville, Pa. died at 9:30 p.m. Monday, April 14, 2008 in The Washington Hospital following a brief illness. He was born April 6, 1923 in Metz, W.Va. a son of James Santford and Eva Lee Byard Price and had resided in Waynesburg for several years prior to moving to Graysville in 1963. Mr. Price was an avid hunter and enjoyed the time he spent with his grandchildren and the private truck rides with his pet dog, "Teddy Bear". He was a WW II veteran of the U.S. Army where he served as a Tech 5 with the 819th Tank Destroyer Battalion. Mr. Price was employed by Equitable Gas Co. for 34 years before retiring as a well tender in 1988. On December 24, 1950 he married Norma Johnnette McClelland who survives. Surviving in addition to his wife is a daughter, Armina (Minnie), wife of Kevin Carpenter of Holbrook, Pa.; two sisters, Mildred McNett of Mather and Lillian Scott of Waynesburg; two grandchildren, Jason Carpenter and his fiance' Melissa Lacko of Graysville and Justin, husband of Jessica Carpenter of Wind Ridge; three great grandchildren, Sydknee, Mackenzie and Mason Carpenter; several nieces and nephews. Deceased in addition to his parents are two sons, John Leonard and Stephen Randall Price; four brothers, Burl W., Junior W., and Curtis Price, Sr. and Kenneth Efaw; three sisters, DeEtta, Neva and Martha Price. At the request of the deceased all services will private and held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Humane Society of Greene Co., 183 Jefferson Rd., Waynesburg, Pa. 15370.
