Anna Maria "Annie" Mason

Anna M. (Annie) Mason, 55, of Carmichaels, Pa., and formerly of Aleppo Twp., Pa., died unexpectedly at 3:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2015 in The Washington Hospital.

She was born March 10, 1960 in Cameron, W.Va. a daughter of the late Don Lee and Anna Margaret Miscovich Smith and resided in Aleppo Twp. prior to moving to Carmichaels in 2003.

Mrs. Mason was a 1978 graduate of Hundred (W.Va.) High School.

She was a former home health aide for United Cerebral Palsy and was last employed as a Van Monitor for First Student prior to retiring in 2009 due to ill health.

On June 23, 2001 she married Brian Lee Mason who survives.

Also surviving are four children, William Lee Mason at home, Lonnie Smith of Littleton, W.Va., Shawnic Smith of Crafton, Pa., and Beth Ann Smith of Waynesburg; three grandchildren, Colby and Noah Smith, Franklin Dawson; 10 brothers and sisters, Robert Smith of Lincolnton, NC, Don, husband of Brenda Smith of Vincent, OH., David Smith of Littleton, W.Va., James, husband of Debbie Smith of St. Marys, W.Va., Mark, husband of Joyce Smith of Littleton, W.Va., Donald, husband of Sandy Smith of Littleton, W.Va., Janice Church of Cleburn, Texas, Selena Smith of Cameron, W.Va., Mary, wife of Frank Gorby of Littleton and Christine, wife of Steve Adams of New Matamoras, OH; several nieces and nephews.

Deceased in addition to her parents is a brother, Michael Smith; a sister, Janis Smith.

Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Friday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, March 21, 2015 with Pastor Rick Croyle officiating. Interment will follow in Thomas Cemetery, Springhill Twp. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to the Rush Funeral Home, Inc., PO Box 388 Rogersville, Pa. 15359.
