Andrew J. Wanto, Jr.

Andrew J. Wanto, Jr., age 65, of Nemacolin, PA, passed away after a lengthy illness on Sunday, August 7, 2016 while under the care of Rolling Meadows Nursing and Rehabilitation.

Born on May 3, 1951, in Waynesburg, PA, he is the son of Agnes (Skoda) Wanto, of Uniontown, PA, and the late Andrew J. Wanto, Sr.

Loving Father of Brandi (Michael James) Bowers and Andrew J. Wanto, III., both of Nemacolin, PA; Brother of Christina (Al) Troyan, of Smithfield, PA.

Andrew resided the majority of his life in Bobtown, Mt. Morris and Nemacolin, PA. He was a boat captain in the coal industry for many years. He had a passion for guns and was a gunsmith. Andrew was a member of the National Muzzle Loading Rifle Association and the Washington County Buckskinners. He also was a member of Rangers of the Ohio Co. Andrew enjoyed performing in reenactments of the French and Indian War.
