Obituary for Alan H. (Abear) Mounts

Alan (Abear) H. Mounts, 60, of Buffalo Twp., Washington County, Pa. died at 9:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 11, 2015.
He was born August 12, 1954 in Washington, Pa. a son of Norma Faye Kinder Mounts of Buffalo Twp., and the late Harold Dewey Mounts and had resided in Buffalo Twp. all his life.
He was a member of the Claysville United Methodist Church and a 1972 graduate of McGuffey High School.
Mr. Mounts was an accomplished country music singer and had sang at several community events over the past years and enjoyed the time with his family.
He had been employed in pipeline construction as a side-boom operator for the past 45 years with Local 66 of the International Order of Operating Engineeers..
On December 20, 1986 he married Linda L. Fordyce who survives.
Also surviving in addition to his mother and his wife are a son, Robert I. Mounts at home; a daughter, Renee, wife of David Sneddon of Washington; a brother, Larry, husband of Nancy Mounts of West Alexander; a sister, Janet, wife of Ed Bebout of Amity; his maternal grandmother, Helen Doty Kinder of Buffalo Twp.; several nieces and nephews.
Deceased in addition to his father are a sister, Helen Jane Mounts; maternal grandfather, Isaac Kinder; paternal grandparents, Robert E. and Mabel Reed Mounts.
Friends will be received from 4 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Rush Funeral Home, Inc. Rogersville, Pa. where funeral and committal services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, March 15, 2015 with Rev. Christian I. Mounts officiating. Interment will be private and held at the convenience of the family. The family suggests memorial contributions be made to either the American Cancer Society or a charity of your choice. By family request, THERE WILL BE NO FLOWERS ACCEPTED AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
